WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS STRAWBERRY MOJITO WITHOUT ALCOHOL

  • Non Alcoholic - This virgin strawberry mojito recipe is great for kids or anyone who doesn't drink alcohol.
  • Colorful – Apart from just being delicious, this vibrant red strawberry mojito mocktail is gorgeous, too.
  • Refreshing flavor - The blend of muddled fresh strawberries, mint leaves, and lime juice creates a real burst of freshness for a delicious summer drink. A great strawberry and mint mocktail with fresh lime juice!

What does this virgin strawberry mojito taste like?

This mojito mocktail recipe has a perfect balance between the natural sweetness of the strawberries and the slight tartness of the freshly squeezed lime. Together with the hint of fragrant mint, you get a wonderful strawberry mint mojito mocktail.

What you need to make this strawberry lime mojito mocktail

  • Strawberries - you only need a few fresh strawberries.
  • Fresh mint leaves - they add a lot of flavor and they make a pretty garnish, too.
  • Limes - you'll need freshly squeezed lime juice and lime slices. Fresh, zesty lime juice makes all the difference in this drink, it really makes it pop.
  • Chilled lemon-lime soda - I love Sprite because I don't need to add any sugar, but you could use your favorite soda, or even sparkling water. Depending on what you use, you might have to add some sugar or a sweetener of your choice.
  • Ice - you'll need enough to fill a tall glass. You could also use crushed ice.

See the recipe card at the end of the post for quantities.

Equipment you'll need

  • muddler or wooden spoon
  • food processor or blender (optional)

TOP TIP

If you're going to serve this drink with straws, put the strawberries in a food processor and pulse a few times so that they get small enough to fit through the straw.

Storage Tips & Variations

It's best not to store this virgin mojito for too long. I usually serve it immediately for optimal taste and quality. However, you could keep it in the refrigerator for a few hours.

I love this strawberry mojito mocktail recipe as is, but you can definitely try different variations. Here are a few ideas:

  • Berry Medley - Easily mix different berries, like blueberries or raspberries for a fruitier flavor.
  • Tropical Mojito - For a tropical flavor, add some coconut milk, shredded coconut or pineapple.
  • Mason Jar Mocktails - You can also serve this strawberry virgin mojito in mason jars for individual servings. This would be great for picnics or parties.
  • Make a Frozen Strawberry Mojito Mocktail - Muddle the mint leaves with the lime juice. Then, instead of fresh strawberries and ice cubes, just use frozen strawberries. Just put them in a blender and blend until smooth. Then pour them into your glass, add the lemon-lime soda and give it a stir.

TIPS FOR SUCCESS

  • Select fresh and ripe strawberries - I find that the best strawberry mocktails are ones made with fresh, ripe strawberries. Try to get strawberries that are ripe, but not mushy.
  • Muddle with care - You don't have to use a muddler, but you could use the back of a wooden spoon or even a fork. Just be gentle when muddling the strawberries and the mint leaves. You don't want to tear the mint leaves apart completely and you should still preserve some texture with the strawberries, too. However, if you want to use straws, make the strawberries much smaller by putting them in a food process, otherwise, they won't fit in the straws.
  • For the frozen strawberry mojito mocktails I often just blend the strawberries and store the puree in the freezer. You can freeze the puree for about a month. When I'm ready to serve, I just take it out of the freezer and let it thaw for about 15 minutes. Then I add the lemon-lime soda, lime juice and mint.

Baking Measurements
I have used weight measurements for all the recipes on this website. Even though I have also included American volume measurements for convenience, I highly recommend using a digital kitchen scale to weigh all ingredients for the most accurate measurements. Digital kitchen scales are more precise than cups, which is so important in baking, and they give the most accurate, consistent results. Happy baking!
