Tips for Success
Use Fresh Figs: Choose ripe but firm figs for the best results; avoid mushy ones.
Cut Carefully: Slice the figs without cutting all the way through, so they keep their flower shape after baking.
Choose the Right Pan: A small baking pan (around 9 x 6.5 inches / 23 x 16.5 cm) keeps the figs close together and helps them hold their shape. If shape isn’t a concern, a baking sheet works too.
Watch the Time: Don’t overbake the fruit; the figs should be soft, slightly sticky, and jammy.
Cool Before Serving: Let the figs rest a bit before enjoying them.
